THe C.J. Neary Band.....a groovy kinda music

12 year old Singer, Songwriter and Multi- instrumentalist CJ Neary is releasing his first album of mostly original songs May 3 with his band THE CJ NEARY BAND.  Recognized as a prodigy at a young age, it was his passion for music that took him on musical journeys diving deep into some of the most complex, rich music of all different genres. He has been said to play music with  “ the charisma, charm and soul of one who has played for MANY lifetimes.”  CJ launched his professional career with multiple national titles in fiddle and jazz music (categories age 18 and under),  a Grand Ole’ Opry Performance, several TED talk/performances, a commercial, and sitting in with some of the biggest musical heavy weights in the nation. 

CJ brings his passionate, fervent voice to the table with The CJ Neary Band, playing and singing many of his original songs and also exploring R&B, Funk, Jazz, Rock and Blues. Influenced by musicians across the board from Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Kool & the Gang, Tony Bennet, Louis Armstrong, Vassar Clements, Jimmy Martin and Del McCoury.  The band consists of lead guitarist Richard Taelour, who has played over 50 years and gigged with names such as The DOORS ,Jefferson Airplane and Frank Zappa. 30 year old bass player Aaron Moore is versed in all styles of music and drummer Logan Anderson  plays with incredible musicality and sensitivity. The musical chemistry The CJ Neary Band has is inexplicable and transcends all age groups.
